This biome lap book project is fun way to have your students practice their research skills while learning science, reading, and writing standards at the same time! With just a few materials (listed below) and some resources, your students can make an amazing interactive display that will be fun for them to create! I have included all the printables, along with detailed instructions and lots of pictures to help you along the way. You can pick and choose what works best for the age level of your students and the biome they will be researching. This download also comes with a grade sheet and comment section. This project is perfect for anytime of the year! It works well with upper elementary students, although it can be easily adapted to use with younger students. 

The sections included are biome cover scene, animals, plants, climate, geographic area map, interesting facts, and food web.

-2 File Folders per Student

By the end of year, read and comprehend informational texts, including history/social studies, science, and technical texts, in the grades 4-5 text complexity band proficiently, with scaffolding as needed at the high end of the range.

*Please Note: The above are just a few speaking/listening, reading, and writing standards for grades 3-5. There are many more writing, reading, and science standards that can be incorporated within this project depending on your grade level.
