Learn about 9 Different Biomes (both Aquatic and Terrestrial)
Great activities to engage students and get them thinking about the world we live in.
Students can create:
- flip books
- playing cards and
- learn about the food chain and plant survival in each biome
This pack includes non-fiction short passage about each of the 9 biomes as well as non-fiction piece on:
- plant competition
- animal competition
Creating the brochures helps students to get to know their biome and its characteristics. They will research and learn about the biome's plant life, animal life, climate, fun activities and much more!
The playing cards are a great way to familiarize students with all the biomes. They get to create a card for each biome (drawing on the front and facts on the back). Students then play with partners and show their picture card. Their partners tries to guess the biome based on the picture, if they can't after one guess, then they get to read one fact at a time from the back of the card until they have enough information to make an educated guess.
My class always loves this unit!
