Product Description
In this activity, students are introduced to the concept of biomimicry. There are three parts to the assignment:

-In part 1, the students research existing products (using the provided links) that have been inspired by plant/animal adaptations. They need to describe the organism the product is inspired by, the adaptation that is being mimicked, and a description of the product.

-In part 2, the students come up with their own idea for how an organism's adaptation could be turned into a design for something that humans use. They need to describe the organism the product is inspired by, the adaptation that is being mimicked, and a description of the product.

-In part 3, the students take an online quiz to test their knowledge of biomimicry.

Students love learning about products that they use in their every day lives that have been inspired by plants and animals!
