Get your students out of their seats with this fun and engaging activity over the four biomolecules: carbohydrates, lipids, protein, and nucleic acid.
This activity will help your students in reviewing the four biomolecules. Students will put their knowledge to the test as they answer questions about the function, monomers, elements, structure, and examples of each of the four biomolecules.
I have designed this activity so that students can begin by scanning any of the QR codes. Each QR code contains a question or a hint about one of the four biomolecules. Students must determine the answer, and then search the classroom for the QR code that has that answer on the bottom. This QR code will be the next one they scan. There are a total of 20 questions for students to answer.
While they complete the scavenger hunt, they should complete the graphic organizer on the student handout. This will help them to organize the information as they work through the activity.
I have included teacher instructions, 20 QR code questions, a student handout with a graphic organizer, and an answer key.
I hope that you find this activity fun and engaging for your students as they learn about the four biomolecules!
