At the end of a GMO unit, after students have learned what GMO's are, how they are made, how they are used in medicine and the pro's and cons, they are asked to research a particular type of GMO food and delve into the biotechnology behind it all. They look into regulations and laws in the US compared to other countries, and make an educated and informed decision about their opinion of GMO's. I apologize for the weird formatting, I had trouble with word. But there is a rubric as well. This is a research and presentation project.
