32-slide PPT, practice worksheet, and exit ticket! No-prep needed!!
This PPT introduces students to the definition of an ecosystem and the difference between biotic and abiotic factors.
I start off by showing students an image of the Amazon Rainforest and having them list out all the things the can think of that makes up the Rainforest. I then have them sort through their list and separate the living things from the nonliving things. This leads into notes on ecosystems, biotic, and abiotic factors, and how these factors interact.
