PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Hello! My name is Aislinn Burnett and I teach 7th grade life science. I love this lab, I have done various versions of it with different groups of kids and it is always a hit. It is a great way to introduce adaptations and natural selection. The lab sheet posted here includes tables and guiding discussion questions to challenge the student's thinking as they go through the rounds.

Lab materials required:
-spoons
-forks
-tweezers
-clothespins
-toothpicks
-rubber bands
-rice
-water
-buckets
-fake plants/grass
-paper towels
-feathers
-any other materials you think would be fun to use really

Timing:

Each round takes 30 seconds. This lab can easily be done during a 50 minute period if your students are focused and finish the discussion questions in a timely manner.
