They’re here! Lesson plans based on Creative Curriculum! These lessons are classroom-tested and use themes that the children were interested in. It is fully editable in Word so you can add your own ideas, standards, and individualization.
This particular lesson features birds and would be appropriate for a springtime theme. The preview file is from the "Aloha" theme, which shows the format used in all my lessons.
Make sure you check out this wonderful product from Miriam Martinez! http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Birds-reading-comprehension-clothespin-cards-130862 We had a lot of fun with it.
All of my lessons based on Creative Curriculum include:
*Theme-based items added into centers
*Small group activities
*Large group activities, including circle time
*Boredom Busters for those rainy or disengaged days
*Space for individualization and Foundations/standards
*Some of my and the kids’ favorite books
Note: Occasionally you’ll see “Book Buddies” or “Dina School.” The Book Buddies were older students paired with ours to practice reading and Dina is based on the Incredible Years Dina program, which teaches intensive social skills. I highly recommend both if you can use it. If not, substitute your own brilliant idea!
Note about Foundations: I live in NC so if the Foundations aren’t applicable to you, just change them to fit your state.
