Bird Nest Spring Sorting (Spring, Birds, Eggs)

This is a PDF file for a bird nest sorting paper. I have left it blank so it can be customized for individual and classroom needs. :)

Simply make your own paper eggs to add to each nest, use sticker eggs, etc.

Here are some ideas for sorting or matching activities:
*Letter matching - match upper and lower case letters on eggs and nests.

*Sounds - beginning/middle/ending - write words on eggs and place in appropriate nests with corresponding beginning/middle/ending sounds.

*Word families - write words on eggs and match to the correct word family nest.

*Math fact matching - match the number sentences on eggs to the answers on the nests.

*Shape matching - match eggs with shape designs on them to the corresponding nests labeled with shape words or pictures.

*Color matching - match colored eggs to color words under the nests.

*Parts of speech - match words on eggs to parts of speech on the nests.
