Your students will LOVE this game.
Who doesn't want to pretend to "eat" classmates that have no protective defenses?
Students act out being a predator who is hoping to eat a young bird. While predators wait in the hall each student gets a card that may or may not have a defense to protect them if they are tapped by the predator.
The materials are simple (paper hats or a noisemaker, maybe the ability to snap your fingers).
The game is quick. The kids ask to play it often. A great way to review the characteristics of a bird. Choose from cards with English text or Spanish text.
The teaching duration says one hour–that's just the time to present and play the game the first time–we play this game all year long!
