I LOVE Bird's Eye View games. This is a great classroom or party game and perfect wiggle break. Slides advance on command so you can play at your own pace. I have so many more great slideshow games! Check them out at Games That Pop.
THIS IS A KEYNOTE MAC VERSION OF THIS GAME! A POWERPOINT version is also available in my store. All images are 100% royalty free public domain CC0 license.
Use your eagle eye to determine this up close and personal objects as various perspectives of each item appear one at a time. There are 3 visual clues per slide and they are advanced manually at the pace of the class.
Most are common objects and vocabulary words. 30 puzzles of varying difficulty are found in the game. Most should be solvable by clue #3. 2nd - 6th is recommended, but K & 1st can probably play this as well. This game is particularly suited for a wiggle break.
Slides and clues are advanced manually as the game progresses. Practice a couple of times to get the feel for the timing and use this process to your advantage.
Adapt this game any way needed. Slides can rearranged or edited.
Recommended Use game as a THINK TANK - no scoring, encourage group discussion until a final decision is made.
INDIVIDUAL OR TEAM PLAY - Points could be awarded for how quickly a student or a team correctly names the object. I usually ask those who get an answer right to sit out the next one.
SCORING (optional) There are 3 photos variations for each puzzle. Award 3 points if correctly guessed after the first clue, 2 points after the second, 1 point after the third
Ask trivia questions about the items. You can vary the difficulty based on your students comprehension level.
Add the element of spelling the item for extra point. Do not reveal the answer until it is spelled.
Test recall after the game by asking details about the photos - for instance - which item was red and white, which item was for hygiene, etc.
Have students use camera phones or other to shoot some birds eye photos of their own. I would recommend setting some boundaries.
