I'll bet that these little birds can help you assign the jobs in your class and help you keep track of who is supposed to do what! These little birds are just waiting to help you organize your job chart! The cards are for a pocket chart and include blank cards that you can program as you need or even use them to make flashcards! The job cards cover the following jobs:
Sanitation Engineer - makes sure the floor and room are clean.
Supply Clerk - passes out and collects supplies.
Medical Assistant - in charge of passing out bandaids.
Lunch Monitor - takes lunch count to the cafeteria.
Caboose - they make sure that there are no stragglers and stay at the end of the line.
Office Helper - in charge of taking any notes to the office.
Dust Buster - makes sure that the room is dusted.
Bathroom Monitor - helps the teacher monitor talking in the bathroom.
Seatwork Helper– helps when teacher is in small groups.
Reading Assistant- listens to classmate read.
Calendar Keeper - changes the calendar chart for the day.
Drink Caller - helps count turns for people getting drinks.
Secretary - helps straighten papers that are turned in.
Mailman - takes notes or materials to other teachers.
Substitute - helps fill in if somebody is absent and does their job.
Behavior Specialist- Helps the teacher with behavior chart.
Locker Inspector- Helps make sure the lockers are clean and closed.
Cubby Inspector- Helps make sure the cubbys are clean.
Emergency Response- Helps in the event of a classroom “emergency” such as a box of crayons falling on the floor, drinks getting spilled etc.
Pencil Sharpener - sharpens pencils at the beginning of the day.
Paper Monitor - passes out and collects papers.
Line Leader - in charge of leading line and stopping at designated spots.
Door Monitor - opens door when visitors come.
Board Chairman - cleans board at end of the day.
Librarian - in charge of the class library books and other text books.
Electrician - makes sure to turn off the light when class leaves the room.
Line Monitor - helps the teacher monitor talking in the hallway.
Table Monitor – helps when teacher is in small groups.
Plant Manager- waters plants.
Desk Inspector - inspects desks to make sure they are tidy.
Animal Control Officer - takes care of any classroom pets.
Teacher Assistant - helps the teacher in any way they are needed.
Roll Keeper - takes the attendance sheet to the office.
Homework Monitor - helps teacher check for missing homework.
Bulletin Board Helper- Helps the teacher decorate the bulletin board.
Reporter- If someone doesn’t hear the directions, they go to the reporter to find out what they were. This limits the teacher endlessly repeating directions.
Meteorologist- helps change the weather chart each day.
