In this Think Tank the students are required to plan their own birthday party with a $400 budget. They start with reading a book about planning a party, write about the process, and then create a proposal to ask their parents if they can have the party of their dreams!
I created this Think Tank for intervention time. While I am meeting with small groups, the students that don't need extra tutoring are working on Think Tanks. They can be done in groups or alone. If they are working in groups, each part of the lesson specifically states the expectations. Every Think Tank lesson has 5 parts to it: read, write, create, extend and I'm done.
I hope you enjoy the lesson and I hope it allows your students that don't need intervention that brain enrichment that they need/desire.
