In this bone-chilling Black Death investigation, students become investigators as they try to determine the cause of the Black Death (Bubonic Plague), its symptoms, how the disease was treated, why people believed the Black Death happened, how they general population responded to the outbreak, and how modern science has helped us learn more.
Students (individually or in teams) explore 10 different exhibits as they try to solve the mystery behind this disaster! Once complete, students compile their evidence in a report to the State Department! This activity engages students through both primary and secondary sources (5 and 5) so it is a great activity to teach the differences in sources as well.
A full key is included!
