Black HIstory Month, Barack Obama, Martin Luther King, Jr., George Washington Carver, Bessie Coleman, Choice Boards, Timelines, Information Booklets, IN SPANISH EN ESPAÑOL
This resource is perfect for any time of year, but very appropriate for Black History Month! Some of the people featured are from the present, and some from yesteryear, but are very recognizable and have contributed greatly to our history!
♦ Barack Obama
♦ Martin Luther King, Jr.
♦ George Washington Carve
♦ Elizabeth “Bessie” Coleman
For each one, there are 5 pages:
♦ Timeline informational page
♦ One-page foldable booklet
♦ Choice Board
♦ Completed puzzle Example
♥ ♥ ♥ EXTRA! I am including a blank Venn Diagram page in case you want to have your students compare and contrast the life of these Afroamericans…
After students read both the timeline facts and the booklet, they can answer the questions on the choice board. They color the puzzle page, cut the piece that corresponds to the question they answered, and paste it on the choice board. When they have completed the entire choice board, they would have also finished the puzzle!
