This zip file contains three separate files: PowerPoint, PDF, Word. The PowerPoint contains 24 slide, 23 of which are about important figures for Black History Month, which I have listed at the end of the product description. They range from politicians, to civil rights leaders, to pop culture figures. There are several firsts and inventors, though most will be new to students and interesting, such as the inventor of the potato chip, George Crum. It's a great way to start the month on an interesting and fun note. The Word document contains clues for a Bingo game based on the slides. The clues help as a review of the material learned from the PowerPoint, but also contains more references to pop culture that students will most likely know without prompting, like Beyonce or Ray Charles. The clues list the answer in order to make for quick checking of answers. The Word document contains twenty unique Bingo cards containing the names of everyone from the PowerPoint and clues. My students enjoying learning about new people for Black History Month and ten to retain the information when it is reinforced with the fun, easy game of Bingo.
