Black History Month Mini Books | Presidents Day Writing

Reading and Writing Centers - I have combined all my mini book products into one year long pack for kindergarten & 1st grade! These are the perfect quick holiday activity. These booklets and worksheets provide nonfiction *Read, Write, Trace, Draw* activities throughout the year. To make the mini books: just print, fold, and fold again! The biographical books also include “was, did, and wanted” graphic organizers (blank and annotated). The other mini books include “looks like, sounds like, and feels like” blank graphic organizers. (There is some color in this pack but will print great in gray scale too.)

I use an elmo to project the book onto a screen. I read it to them. We talk about unfamiliar words and what to do. Then, I pass them out. We re-read them together, trace, write, read the last fact, and draw. They also work great as a learning station or center activity!
