If you loved my Christmas Around the World Reading, Writing, and Craft than you are sure to love the Black History Reading, Writing and Craft. Along the same line, this Black History unit has reading passages about famous African Americans as well as comprehension questions to go with each passage. Included is a writing activity with a craft to decorate outside your classroom or bulletin board.

The informational pages can be read together as whole class, small reading groups, or individual. Have your students answer the comprehension questions after reading.

Be sure to look at the preview to see this packet.

This packet includes a reading passage and comprehension questions for the following:
Sojourner Truth
Rosa Parks
Martin Luther King Jr
Booker T Washington
Frederick Douglass
Harriet Tubman
Jackie Robinson
Jessie Owens
Ruby Bridges
Thurgood Marshall
Craft and letter writing activity
Nonfiction mini book to fill out about Black History

This is a ZIPPED file so be sure to extract all before trying to print. Once the file is unzipped you should have TWO files, one with the pictures and mini book and one with all the reading passages and questions.

Hope you enjoy!
