Pattern Portrait Packs Found in My Store:
Theodor Seuss Geisel
Celebrate Black History Month with these fun pattern portraits. What are pattern portraits?
They are portraits of famous people with patterns behind the image. When students color the patterns in a variety of different colors, the finished product is whimsical and fun. They can then color the realistic image of the famous person that is in front of the patterns. These are sure to add colorful pizzazz to your classroom. For the most pep from your portraits, tell your students to use lots of different colors and try not to have two of the same colors touching.
For each person, there is a choice of a pattern portrait coloring sheet, writing paper to glue to each one, and a pennant to make a class banner. Writing paper is formatted to glue to the coloring sheet or the pennant. The extra-long pennants are really neat! You can choose what you would like to use.
This pack is for one classroom teacher, but additional licenses can be purchased for half price. ♡
You can use the portrait pages as just coloring pages, or if your students are learning about these famous people in black history and you want them to do a writing, I have included paper that can be glued under the portrait. It makes for a fun hallway or classroom display. Please see the thumbnail images and the preview to get a better idea of what is included.
The people included in this Black History Month pack are:
Mary McLeod Bethune
George Washington Carver
Coretta Scott King
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Booker T. Washington
