Celebrate Black History Month by studying 8 Movers and Shakers throughout Black History: Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, Thurgood Marshall, Rosa Parks, Nelson Mandela, Jackie Robinson, Maya Angelou, and Martin Luther King Jr.
All these men and women worked to make huge strides for equal rights for Black Americans and Black Rights throughout the world. Students will study several key facts through a matching activity and class discussion. They will also have a time of reflection. Have fun honoring and recognizing some amazing lives.
