Description

Black History Encyclopedia Research Task Cards with Self-Checking QR Codes

Updated to include a Google Slides option for Distance Learning!

This is a set of 24 encyclopedia research task cards. These task cards are perfect for teachers/librarians to use in a research center in their classroom/library media center. Engaging activity for the beginner/intermediate researcher!

I print these off on cardstock and laminate for durability so that I can reuse them the following year.

There are many ways to use these task cards. Students can complete these individually, in small groups, or as a “Scoot” game. You could also use them for a “Question of the Day/Week” activity.

Our district has a paid subscription to World Book Online. If you don’t have access to World Book online, you should be able to use these task cards using print encyclopedias or other online reference sites.

This product is included in my discounted Black History Mega Bundle found here:

Black History Mega Bundle!

This product includes:

-24 Task Cards

-Student Recording Sheet in both Color and Blackline

-Answer Sheet with Printed Answers

-Self-Checking QR Codes in both “Task Card” format and “Answer Sheet” format

Students love using QR codes! You would need to download a scanner app to your devices to use the QR codes (there are several free scanning apps available). I use the “Scan – QR Code and Barcode Reader” by QR Code City.
