Product Description
Women are one of the largest groups of oppressed people. In the past, women have been considered weaker and less intelligent than men. Like Black people, women had to fight for many of their rights, including the right to vote. Even today, women struggle to be treated fairly. Men still make more money than women for doing the same exact job. This is just one example of how woman are still oppressed today.
Black women therefore, have a unique place in our society. They belong to two of the most disregarded groups in our country and throughout the world. Because of this, there have been many Black women who have become revolutionaries; advocating for change not just for Blacks or for women, but for all oppressed people. In this packet, we will get to know a few Black women who fought back against oppression and made a difference in our world.
