Product Description
William Still was a Black American who worked tirelessly on the Underground Railroad and was employed by the Pennsylvania Society for the Abolition of Slavery before the American Civil War.

Included in this free resource is a one page biography (written by me) followed by four opinion questions as well as a copy of the preface to Still’s 1878 collection of accounts he had gathered from many fugitive slaves (in the public domain). Question #4 is related to the preface. A full copy of William Still’s book may be found online and it includes the preface and many original fugitive slave accounts.
