*INK SAVER ALERT! With the exception of a few nonessential pages, this product has been created using black and white ink. TIP: Feel free to copy the student covers on bright, colored paper to give them a look that “pops!”
*Each Black History Trailblazer word search contains twenty-one (21) words or phrases. Words may be found horizontally, vertically, diagonally, or backwards. NOTE: There are some words and phrases that have overlapping letters. Remember to check the answer key for assurance.
*For your convenience, there are student covers for both the word search and Fill-in-the-Blank printables included with this resource.
*There are twelve (12) Fill-in-the-Blank printables included as well. Depending on the academic needs and levels of your students, you may wish to have them complete the Fill-in-the-Blank printables as an extension of the word searches. In other words, a Fill-in-the-Blank printable should be completed AFTER a word search is completed. Students use the words and phrases from each word search in order to successfully complete its corresponding Fill-in-the-Blank printable.
*Included with this resource is a blank writing template. You may wish to have your students write a paragraph about their favorite Black History Trailblazer OR have your students copy the completed sentences (in numerical order) from the Fill-in-the-Blank printables onto the template for a “instant and ready-made” narrative.
*Answer keys for all words searches and Fill-in-the-Blank printables have been provided for your convenience.
