Brought to you by Kodaly Music With Mrs Perry, this is a super fun game song that works in any space. There is a rhythm prep page, rhythm practice page, melody reading page and melody writing page, and an accompaniment page. All have interactive features and include game directions. Here is what you get:
*RHYTHM - ^^^Prep page includes snake beat boxes, text and all eighth notes. Students will see that some 8th notes are tied together, creating a long sound. When they find them, they tap them. The rhythms light up red and produce a positive sound. The students then need to tie together the other 8th notes that will create a longer quarter note sound. ^^^Practice page includes snake mouths for each beat, text and regular rhythms. Students read the new regular rhythms. The ties have been replaced by eighth and quarter notes and include the new syncopa rhythm. When the students find them, they are to tap them. The syncopa will light up red and make a positive sound. If they choose the wrong rhythm, they get a negative sound.
*MELODY- ^^^The third page has staves that look like black snakes. It includes the melody and text. Students read the notation. When they find the repeated "do-low la-low so" patterns they are to tap them. They will light up and provide a positive sound. The fourth page provides writing opportunity. The students drag the notation from the bottom of the page to the staves to complete the melody.
*ACCOMPANIMENT-There are 4 accompaniment options. Two xylophone parts are included, one using chords and the other broken chords. There are two drum parts. One contains the prep syncopa and one the actual syncopa. Choose which ones you want to use, tap them and they are revealed.
*GAME DIRECTIONS- The game directions are included.
