This is something that I use for my stop and think spot. When students are having a hard time focusing, get frustrated or upset, they can go to the stop and think spot either at their own will or with teacher direction. I have these hanging on a large divider with a carpet on the floor. There is a calming caddy with different fidget tools and a timer that the students can set themselves or again the teacher can set it. They can read the different ways to calm down and help them regroup. The last posters says: Rejoin the group when you are ready. This is a great way for students to be responsible for their actions as well as managing their attitudes and actions. Of course this whole center has to be taught thoroughly or you will get many students wanting to visit this spot to play with the fidget tools instead of participate in class work.
