For each student: print four copies of page #1 and two copies of page #2. Trim the bottom off of each page #2. Tape these six pages together to form a large 100 grid (10 squares by 10 squares). This is a student's version of the Number Wall I make on my classroom wall with post-its. Students fill in the numbers 1-100 and can use the 100 grid to touch and count by ones, fives, tens, and twenty-fives. Have them write with pencil, get checked, then trace in marker. They can use different colors for the twenty-fives, tens, and fives to make those numbers stand out for counting. In my class we write 1-5 on the fifth day of school, 6-10 on the tenth day, etc. And I do not tape the pages together until the 100th day so the pages are easier to store.
