I have created these blank maps related to the Holocaust. I like my students to practice creating and interpreting maps. For years I have not been able to find what I was looking for so I created my own instead.
The map with the Jewish victims is really useful. Students find out how many Jewish people were killed in each European country and what percentage of the entire Jewish population for each country were killed. There is a small pie chart for students to show the percentage of each country. The completed map can be used to discuss why some countries had more Jewish people killed than other countries, etc. Powerful to see the numbers and percentages broken down in this way.
The ghetto map is also good for students. It shows the progression of when Ghettos were established as Hitler moved east. The ghetto map can be used to compare with the deportation map and escape route map to see how these ghettos were used to ship innocent Jewish people to death camps and were people tried to escape.
There are 4 maps in this package and each have an answer key.
