This is a fabulous in-class (or take-home) writing activity for students to do when learning/reviewing the concept of ser vs. estar as well as various adjectives and nouns used to describe what people look like or are wearing.
This isn't tied to ser and estar use but can be great for almost any tense/mood.
Students are assigned a celebrity (or they can do themselves or a classmate) and create a profile for the celebrity. There are spaces for six pictures (drawings) of this individual and students write corresponding captions on the other page.
This worked exceptionally well on card stock (double-sided) but would do just fine on regular weight paper. I prefer students to hand-write to avoid online translation temptations.
I've included a list of well-known figures that I assigned students but, again, this part is completely up to the teacher.
This could even work well as a cultural or historical activity with students assigned to research a particular Latino (current or past) figure (artist, explorer, musician, etc.) for whom to create the profile.
