This is a blank periodic table designed to fit on tabloid sized paper. That is 11 by 17 inches, which is available at office supply stores.
I used this table to familiarize students with the periodic table, elements, the abbreviations, and so on. They filled it out in class, and, if not completed in class, it became homework. I had them use colored pencils and color the different groupings different colors.
I recommend doing the first few together, whole class, because the elements are arranged kind of oddly, and so they understand the directions better.
Point out where the table skips around unexpectedly. You might have them stop at the end of the first row of manmade elements.
