Guided Reading: Phoneme segmenting and blending sounds is an extremely important skill for beginning readers. Once students have mastered letter-sound correspondence, it is time to teach them to blend those sounds together to sound out words. This proves to be easier for some students than for others. I created this resource to use specifically with my students who continued to struggle with blending sounds together.
This resource includes:
♥ Stretchy Snake Strategy Poster
♥ Blending Sounds Assessment/Data Tracking Sheet
♥ 102 CVC Flashcards
♥ 102 Self-Checking Sound Blending Cards
♥ 2 Interactive Readers
**This is a great RTI resource for teachers working with struggling readers!
