This PDF was created by myself, although the idea is not my own.
1. Children are given a card which will have a blend or digraph. Tell students to look but not share with each other yet.
2. When the teacher says, “Barnyard!”, students will walk around repeating their sound over and over until they find the person with the corresponding sound. They will then think of as many words that they can that share their blend or digraph.
3. Each pair will share their blend or digraph, and one word they came up with.
