Blogging is essentially an online journal. Your students can blog about anything. You can give them prompts or you can have them use the choice boards (included) to get them started. Students will have the opportunity to comment on each others' posts and have an open dialogue. Parents are also encouraged to comment on blog post (with privacy settings opened to them).

You can use any SAFE blogging platform to start blogging with your students. I find it very important that students have a secure and private website to use. My recommendation is to use Kidblog because it meets all my needs as a classroom teacher. It's easy to set up, it's user friendly, and has specific settings that will make blogging safe for your students.
