This resource, part of my Blood on the River Novel Unit,
is a set of reading questions to accompany Elisa Carbone's Jamestown novel Blood on the River. It contains 13 chunks (covering 1-2 chapters each) of 4-5 questions, some comprehension-level and others pushing students into literary analysis. Students are asked to think critically about plot, character, setting, motivation, conflict, cause and effect, and theme.
These questions would make great homework assignments, reading checks to do in class, or even group discussion prompts!
There is an answer key included.
