This set includes:

-Recording Sheet for students to record their questions
-Suggestions for implementation
Teaching critical thinking is no easy feat and as educators we can easily get used to asking all the questions most of the time. With the new demands of the common core, students are increasingly expected to be able to form their own questions and think critically of texts. This product helps ease students into originating their own questions and helps them take ownership of their own learning. Once students get used to forming their own questions with the assistance of these Bloom's Questioning Cards, then hopefully they can transfer this skill and form questions more often in a more organic and natural fashion.
Two versions of a student response sheet are included:
-A Google Docs version and
-A hard copy version
You can laminate the Bloom's Questioning Cards and place each level in its own envelope or plastic bag for students to use again and again!
This activity aligns to the Common Core State Standards:
-SL7.1C/SL.8.1C/SL.9-10.1C/SL11-12.1C: Propel conversations by posing questions that probe reasoning and evidence.
-These cards also work well paired with other standards such as the standards that cover textual evidence (RL and RI.7.1/8.1/9-10.1 and point of view (RL and RI.7.6/8.6/9-10.6).
