Every Elementary Music teacher should have this posted in the classroom.

Named after Benjamin Bloom, this taxonomy of educational objectives was first published in the 1950s. Because it is based on guiding students into using a higher level of thinking skills, it has stood the test of time.

I designed this to go with a fun activity, "Humpty Dumpty," and decided to make it available for everyone. If you are unfamiliar with this sequential set of objectives, Google it and read about it.

All activities and lesson plans should be based on this taxonomy. If you have it posted and another copy in your lesson plan notebook, you'll find yourself using these objectives to measure everything you do.

Our children need to learn how to think and problem solve.
