What educators are saying

I loved working on book discussions, and this resource has helped me immensely since I am homeschooling my daughters! I really appreciate it! Thank you so much.
This resource was exactly what I was looking for!! I needed questions that would help the students dig deeper into their library books; these questions are great to have on hand.

Description

This Reading Reflection Question Fan resource contains over 100 different reading reflection questions and prompts in Bloom's Taxonomy groups to use for comprehension checks of new concepts learned. These reflection fans can be used for guided reading groups, literacy centers, whole class discussions, read alouds, after independent reading, during pair-share activities, for written reading responses, etc. The questions in the Create level can also be used as formative or summative reading assessments.

There are 6 different groups of questions and prompts - one group for each of the levels in Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy: Remember, Understand, Apply, Analyze, Evaluate, and Create. Each group of questions will make its own fan. You can use a particular fan when evaluating a particular level of the taxonomy, or use different fans as they suit different learned concepts. You could also group all the questions together on a binder clip circle and hang near your desk for easy access during activities. I choose one or two particular questions or prompts that fit the concept, and display them under the document camera for the students to see.

I have also included a page of blank frames for each group if you want to add some of your own questions. They are not editable though, so you will have to write in your questions.

I have also included checklists for each reflection fan. These checklists can be used by students to keep track of what questions they have answered, or by the teacher to keep track of questions asked.
