This pack contains Recycling activities and can be used with Earth Day content. The activities involve tasks about ways to recycle, improvements to local recycling centres and creating recycled products.
Using Blooms Taxonomy Framework, this resource will enable you to use it as a tool for higher order thinking and build upon the work that you have taught them about the subject. Staring with basic skills such as knowledge and understanding, students then will be challenged to apply facts that they learned and apply it in creative ways.
For example, a Create Task asks students make a recycled art piece about the environment. Students will need to collect recycled objects and think of way to convey a message about the environment.
It is also great to be used as an independent task or a homework extension for students that need an extra challenge. The framework allows you to date when they have completed a task so you can keep track of their progress. In the classroom, I like them to finish at least 3 activities before advancing to the next skill set.
As a heads up, some of these activities will prove to be of more value when completed together as a whole class, and therefore you may want to select those activities and use them as class competitions or whole class learning experiences.
