As teachers we understand the importance of having students think critically, but often are not sure how to pose questions or what types of “verbs” fall under each category. These posters are written using student friendly "I Can" statements so that they can be used by you as well as by your students.
In my classroom, I like to display the posters for easy reference. During our accountable talk we answer varying questions about a topic and like to “move up the ladder” of critical thinking. Over time and with continued exposure, students begin to critically think naturally and are able to encourage each other to “dig deeper”.
This poster set includes a poster for each level of critical thinking
