What a fun and easy way to implement Bloom’s Taxonomy in your classroom and make sure your students are being challenged in reading! These question cards and activities are great because they can be used with any fiction book during your whole group, small guided reading group, literacy station, or partner accountable text talk discussions.
Each card is color coded in rainbow order to reflect the progression of difficulty in Bloom’s Taxonomy
(Remember, Understand, Apply, Analyze, Evaluate, Create).
To make these question cards into a game, you can assign points for each level. When a student answers a question correctly, he or she will earn points based on the color of their card. Students can keep a tally or add to track their points on an index card or piece of paper. Whoever has the most points at the end wins! What a fun way to promote higher level thinking!
Once students practice asking and answering questions, they will be ready to show you what they know independently! For independent practice, I have included 1 vocabulary activity and 3 fiction story activities, using all 6 levels of Bloom's Taxonomy, for you to choose from.
This pack comes with 1 "I can" statement title card, 11 question cards for each level of Bloom's Taxonomy (66 leveled questions), fun ideas and point value cards to turn asking and answering these questions into a game, 1 vocabulary activity, and 3 fiction story activities!
Please read my blog at: (http://sandyslearningreef.blogspot.com/2015/02/using-blooms-taxonomy-to-enhance-your.html) to see how I use the Bloom's Taxonomy posters and question cards in my classroom!
These cards and activities match my Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy “I Can” Statement Posters that I hang in my room as a reference (and reminder) for me to use with my students on a daily basis. (sold separately)
