This is a great activity for kinesthetic, audio and visual learners. It is a script with 35 lines of phrases or actions that reviews the chronological order of the Revolutionary War. Each students gets one line/action and must perform it on their turn. Assign a different line every time you do this activity.
I found this to be THE MOST popular activity of the unit. It feels like a game to the students, but what it really ends up being is a constant review of the War and its chronological events.
I recommend playing this "game" at least once a week from the very beginning of the unit. At first the students will not understand most of the lines, but as your unit progress, they come to recognize their true meaning!
For extra fun, time the game and make a competition between periods! I have a class hit a record of 22 seconds!
