Description

Bluebonnet Thumbprint ART Freebie!

This activity was designed to be a quick and easy art project to be used by teachers, parents, or therapists. I am a speech language pathologist and I use this art template as we practice speech and language skills (the students get to make a thumbprint every time they practice a skill). You could use this for any skill (example: practice a sight word then make a thumbprint) or just use it as an art activity.

► I make many articulation thumbprint packs that are similar to this activity. There are articulation words in the picture for the students to cover up with their thumbprints. These packs contain the following sounds: initial/final: p, b, m; final: n, t, d; initial/medial/final: k, g, f, v, l, s, z, ch, j, th, sh; pre-vocalic r; vocalic r (er, ar, or, air, ear, ire); rblends; lblends; sblends (separate mats for sp, st, sm, sn, sk, sl, sw, mixed). I have over 16 themes available (and 2 bundles). Check them out in my store under the custom category “Thumbprint Art.”
I also have three other freebie art templates available:
Thumbprint Balloons Freebie A speech therapy craft activity
Thumbprint Leaves Freebie A speech therapy craft activity
Thumbprint Valentine FREEBIE
Thumbprint Watermleon Seeds Freebie!

► There are two templates included in this download: The first one has ovals that serve as thumbprint guides. The second one just has the stem and leaves (students will choose where to put their thumbprints).

Materials Needed: Ink pad or paint (blue/purple recommended), bluebonnet thumbprint template. If you don’t have ink or paint, you can also use bingo dot markers. Just dot the students thumb and then they can make a thumbprint!

Optional Assembly: You can also place in a sheet protector or laminate to use with play dough.

To use: The student will place their thumb on an ink pad (or paint) and then stamp it on the bluebonnet template.

I have FREE bluebonnet clip art available for download too :) Hand drawn by me
