This lesson focuses on using Board Games as a personification tool to connect to the events in students lives. Students do various activities to describe the game, the process of the game, and personify the game through evaluating and exploring the purpose and process of how the games are played.
The students then use words to personify each game and then connect their own lives and events in their lives to different games and game pieces. Students then use these board games and pieces as a way to symbolize their lives and the events occurring in them. This lesson was done with 6th grade students but can be adapted to Middle or High School Levels. If you purchase this lesson, there is a Powerpoint you can purchase for $1.00 to go along with it.
