This packet will help students with autism or high needs understand the act of going out to a restaurant. A two-page social story is written with Boardmaker symbols to accompany most words.
Five questions follow the story to measure comprehension. Students are asked questions and given a field of three to choose from. All answers can be found in the social story.
The final page is a list of routines for a restaurant. It has 8 steps, all written with Boardmaker. These steps remind students to use manners, stay in seat, etc.
The social story and routine list are written as basic sentences for increased understanding. The story can be printed and laminated, or given to individual students. This would be ideal to prepare for a field trip or even going to the cafeteria.
