Bobbing for apples is a great back to school or fall-themed game that addresses receptive and expressive language concepts including object function, categories, compare and contrast, 'wh' questions, and vocabulary.
Put all cards into a big bowl or basket (or individual bowls for students working on different goals). Have students take turns "bobbing" for apples. If the student completes their card correctly, they can keep it. If a student chooses a worm card, all of their apples go back into the bowl!! Student with the most apples at the end wins.
