Body Language and non verbal cues can be a challenging skill for students to understand. Teaching some basic and common body language cues can help students understand these cues that occur naturally in the environment. This is one lesson included in Unit 4 of the Behavior Basics Program.
The lesson includes social stories, visual supports, discussion questions, coloring pages, interactive notebook pages, assessment questions, focus board pieces and parent newsletters.
All 60 behaviors follow the same weekly format to create a consistent routine within your classroom. The program is not designed to go in lesson order. Each behavior has been assigned a lesson number for teacher organization and easy location of the materials for each lesson. This also allows for flexibility on the teachers behalf to teach any behavior in any order they choose depending on class and student need. Behavior Basics Program is great for any early childhood classroom, special education program or autism classroom. This is also great for any schools implementing a Positive Behavioral Intervention Services (PBIS) approach.
