A "recipe" for how to write a good solid body paragraph for a literary analysis paper. I call it a recipe because when one is first learning to cook, you follow the recipe exactly. Then, when you get better you can add your own style and flair -- just like in writing!
This takes the student through a piece by piece (or ingredient by ingredient) approach to writing a lit analysis body paragraph. It shows them how to include all the proper steps: Topic Sentence, Signal Sentence, Quote, Commentary, and Concluding Sentence.
