This is a great resource to help students explore the parts of a body paragraph. This lesson is centered around working with a thesis statement, and work great for middle and high school students.
They will view videos and slides and take notes on body paragraphs regarding what one is, what to include in one, etc. Then, they can participate in an exploration activity that asks them to review the qualities in their notes to determine how the different parts of a body paragraph are used. Students highlight or use color to indicate different parts, and then discuss how the author uses them.
Works great in one or two class periods for individual, paired, or group use!
Can be used as practice, homework, or even assessment!
