Description
Body percussion and bucket drumming are two very popular activities in a music classroom, and they work beautifully together. Solar Sensation is the first piece in the new line called From Body to Bucket in the Dr. Stafford's Musical Cures store, incorporating body percussion patterns transferred to various parts of a bucket for timbre-focused bucket drumming. Where would you strike a bucket to represent snap? Patsch? Stomp? Clap? When students work these patterns out, you can put them together to create rondos based on the subject of the sun.
