This quick body systems review is great before teaching the basic concept of homeostasis. Students complete a card sort matching the body system to its function and sample organs. Students may work individually, in pairs, or in teams depending on the number of card sorts created. Then students document their understanding using the student worksheet. Lastly, the teacher leads the creation of the homeostasis Frayer model. Although students can create a Frayer model by folding a blank sheet of paper, a student page for the Frayer model is included in this lesson. This lesson is intended to be used during the body systems unit; however it is also a great review for any assessment.
